Christmas Greetings from Kangaroo Island 2023
Greetings from Ants and Jane on Kangaroo Island after a another busy year. Our chooks live in hope of seeing us occasionally!! Jane being her normal quiet self. Ants playing in the mud at Witchelina. The American River Shed had a Gala Day in January and we took our Citroen 2CV and entered the unofficial Concours d'elegance and we think we won (unofficially) To be ready to sail to West coast of Tassie Ants tied Karrpa to the boat ramp structure and between tides gave her a temporary antifoul to the underside. Made for good sailing speed. We sailed in mid February from KI on the end of a very vigorous SW change and then via Port Fairy, King Island to Macquarie Harbour and finally Port Davey. Port Davey on the SW coast of Tasmania is accessible only by foot, boat or light plane. An excellent 6 week trip and the Gordon River and the mountains of Port Davey made it all worthwhile.
